Stitches events are a magical gathering of the fiber arts community. It is always great to see old friends and make new ones. This year was no exception.

There were also a few attendee friends that showed me their shawl pin style in pairs! Life is certainly more enjoyable with a good friend at your side.
The parade of attendees wearing their pins this year was inspiring.
One of the favorite parts of my job is helping attendees style their shawls. This delightful customer asked the best question “Can you help me style this differently?” Why yes, I would be delighted to. I showed her 3 options, got a picture of each, and texted them to her. She came back the next day with a different shawl she proudly styled herself. This was very heartwarming and makes everything worthwhile. Unfortunately I did not get her styling captured in a photo.

The Yarn Guys had a stunning neutral pairing of a simple yet interesting shawl with a celtic knot pin.
Fibernymph Dye Works had a couple of vintage shawl pins on display. If a few years old counts as vintage ;)
Dragonfly Fibers is particularly good at displaying shawl pins on Cardigans. This is also a good way to help the cardigans stay on the hanger.
Noti Yarn was great at showing how the same pin looks amazing on a variety of yarn colors.
Last is a very special shout out to Fairy Tale Knits. Dawn and her daughters were amazingly generous and helped me to get shawl pins I had made in my hotel room each night packaged and ready to go out each morning. Thank you for your help and the amazing display of pins!
